As we have decided during the last Bureau meeting on December, decisions about the FITE website are effective.
Thanks to the work of Stefano Ricci, we are improving our idea of the website.

We have now to start decided reforms in order to make the website a promotion, information and development tool necessary to our ambitions. Few (and sometimes any) information about the equestrian tourism are on the different NETO Websites and the link to FITE website is nearly absent on every website. So I invite you to give all the necessary importance to this activity.

As we have decided on 13th December, I ask to every NETO to indicate (before 15th March) a person in charge for the communication of information about equestrian tourism (events which could interest national organisation or every person who consult our website) from NETO. Later, this person will set up the website with your information thanks to a code given by Stefano.

Today, news from NETO are arriving sep by sep on our Website. It's the case for news from Austria, Belgium, Italy and Quebec. We are still waiting forinformation about the events mentioned last December (list on page 2 - information already communicated are on yellow). Information have to be send both in English and in French. If it is not possible, the translations will be made at the secretary but it is better and cheaper for FITE if you send them in the both languages.

Please, could you verify again the information about your NETO. I invite you also to communicate all changes or improvements useful for our goals.

Last thing about the news: please, send a photo if possible with your text and don't forget the coordinates if the organisers.

I remind you that the 1st event for the 2009 European Cup will be held in Avila (Castille-Leon) from 13th to 15th March.

2009 International equestrian tourism events

- Italy (Sardaigna - end of February - beginning of March 2009).

- Portugal - Equestrian riding through Algarve from East to West (Algarviana way) - 2nd to 10th April.

- Spain - (International Congress of Equestrian Tourism in Valencia) 23-24-25 April 2009 ; within a horse fair.

- Italy - 8th to 20th May - Riding horse on Gustav way - Historical trekking, through Italy from Adriatic to Tyrrhenean sea.

- Great-Britain (Windsor Horse Show) - 16th May 2009 - Participation of British TREC riders. In case of success, last year the participation will be international.

- Austria - Trekking in Vienna Woods - 11th to 14th June

- Spain - (Horses and riders meeting like Equirando) - July 2009 - In sierra de Grados - Castille-Léon.

- Italy (Equiraduno) in Aquila, Abruzzes, 11th-12th July 2009. Trekking : 8th to 11th July.

- France - (Junior Equirando - 23th/26th July) limitated Inscriptions, open to children from 7 to 14 years old.

- Belgium - Treck/Equirencontre - 14th, 15th, 16th August - Bocholt (Limbourg) International meeting of riders and drivers.

- Canada - week-end of trekking rider - 4th-5th-6th September - Big meeting of equestrian tourism riders and drivers in Estrie region, in
St-Herménégilde near Coaticook (Québec).

- Portugal - (Champions meeting - TREC) - Second part of octobre 2009)

- Italy (Verona - Fiera Cavalli - beginning of November 2009) - 1/ International Congress of Equestrian Tourism - 2/ International event of Working equitation 3/ arrival of a horse trekking within the fair - FFE will be present at the Fiera Cavalli).
